Frequently asked questions
How do I play Dyslock?
Find the secret code. Each clue is a guess with pegs: a green star for a symbol well placed, an orange triangle for a symbol in the code but misplaced, a grey cross for a symbol not in the code. The pegs count, they never say which symbol is which. The tutorial teaches it in a minute, and the How to play sheet stays one tap away. See the rules and try a puzzle.
I got a new phone or reinstalled the game. How do I get my purchase back?
On iPhone and iPad, open the shop and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple account. On Android, your purchases come back by themselves when the game starts, with the same Google account.
Is my progress saved if I switch phones?
Dyslock has no cloud save of its own: your progress is stored on your device. It comes back after a reinstall or on a new phone only if your phone’s backup (Google or iCloud) restores the app’s data; otherwise you start again from the first level. Your purchases can always be restored (see above).
When does the daily case change?
A new case opens every day at 00:05 UTC, and you can start it until 23:55 UTC (the “Case closes in” countdown in the game). Only your first solve of the day counts in the ranking; you can replay the case for practice.
How do I change my name in the ranking?
Open the daily case tab: you can change your detective name and your avatar there. Your name is shown to the other players, so please don’t use your real full name.
How do I remove the ads?
In the shop, No ads removes them. Everything unlocks all 2,830 puzzles and removes the ads too.
What are the usage statistics?
After your first solved puzzle, Dyslock asks once whether you agree to share gameplay statistics with us. They help us see which puzzles are too hard. You can change your answer anytime in the Menu, with Share usage statistics. Details are in our privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
Send us an email with your detective name: we check that the account is yours, then delete your game account and your daily case results. Everything is explained in our privacy policy.
Which devices can run Dyslock?
Android phones and tablets with Android 8.0 or later, and iPhone and iPad with iOS 15.0 or later.
